Sedona Film Festival logo

Yesss! This is very exciting! We are going to Sedona, Arizona, to see my film “My Silent Sadness” at the Sedona Film Festival.

THE SCREENING DATES ARE:

Wed., Feb. 28 at 11:00 a.m.
Harkins Theatre 1

Fri., March 2 at 4:00 p.m.
Harkins Theatre 5

And thanks, in part to “My Silent Sadness”, director Stephan Szpak-Fleet landed a great job working on the show “Ghost Whisperer” starring Jennifer Love Hewitt. He helped develop new show ideas for the production company as well as contribute to the marketing and internet presence of GW.

There are two big episodes coming up, one of which guest stars Mary J. Blige, so it would be rad if you all could tune in and show some support for Stephan. They’re trying to boost ratings. And we all want him to keep his job! Right?!

If GW stays on the air, then he gets to pitch all sorts of new TV ideas in June/July… and he is open to ideas. (Stephan wants to combine the big studio mentality with the indie and he wants TV to listen to its audience.)

Ghost Whisperer is on Fridays at 8pm ET/PT on CBS

Stephan is also designing an amazing new site for GW on myspace, details to come!

I hope you peeps will come out to Sedona, Arizona! Stephan will be there with Larry Hankin and I’ll probably show up for the Friday screening.

Love to you all, and tune in this Friday to Ghost Whisperer, unless you are of course on the BikeWinter opening party. That is the only excuse you’ll get!

Screening of a Film I Helped Cast

The Lost Journal Of Vice Marceaux poster

Last night, on the 9th, we (my hubby and I) rode down to USC to see JR’s film “The Lost Journal of Vice Marceaux” at the Norris Theatre.

In August I helped with the casting sessions and of course I wanted to be at the screening to cheer on JR and the cast and crew.

The film turned out wonderful and I’m proud that I could be part of it! It was also wonderful to see all the familiar faces I’ve worked with in the past (and hopefully will be working again with in the future.)

During the reception the rain started coming down and I did not want to get on my bike to ride the 7 miles back home. But I had no choice.

We pedaled out into the rain, and as I felt my thighs getting wet, I also started warming up. We passed the Staples center, and traffic was all jammed up, and the only things moving on the road were us and the pedestrians.

It was awesome! That’s one of my favorite parts of riding my bike. Passing all the cars and not being stuck in traffic. I loved it!

Eventually the rain stopped and we rode to El Gran Burrito on Vermont and Santa Monica Blvd. to grab a bite to eat, and we met a very nice Australian family.

By the time we got home, our clothes were dry and I had a smile on my face. Another evening filled with friends, adventure, and a good ride!
